7 suspected anthrax cases in Kara-Suu district unconfirmed

AKIPRESS.COM - The results of test for anthrax of 7 patients from Toguz-Bulak village, Kara-Suu district, were negative, Osh interregional hospital reported.
No new cases of suspected anthrax were reported. The condition of all patients is satisfactory.
The Ministry of Health said on 11 August 8 people were taken to the Osh interregional hospital with suspected cutaneous form of anthrax. One of the patients tested positive for anthrax. They all remain under medical observation and receive treatment.
The villagers consumed the meat of a bull with anthrax. The number of contacts made 285. All of them receive necessary medical care.
