AKIPRESS.COM - The remote village of Jazy-Kechuu of Bazar-Korgon district, Jalal-Abad region will get electricity for the first time in September.
Jalalabatelectro company workers are installing power poles to stretch electricity transmission lines to the village since July.
Electricity will come from the substation in Ak-Tok village of Suzak district.
Jazy-Kechuu village lies 100 km away from the district center. 101 families and around 5,000 people live there.
The village has never had electricity before. The local school rings a bell made by local blacksmith to signal end of a lesson for more than 40 years.
The school was built in 2018. 57 children attend the school and 11 teachers work there.
The winter lasts there 6 months. The snow falls up to 3 meters in height.
