100,200 unemployed citizens registered in Kyrgyzstan as of July 1

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of unemployed citizens registered with employment services as of July 1 made 100,200 people. 78,600 of them have official unemployed status, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
The official unemployment rate made 3.1% of economically active population - 2.539 million people. 7,000 people were referred to paid public works as temporary jobs.
The employment services offered 10,300 vacant positions, mainly industrial worker jobs. 3,000 positions remained unfilled.
The high unemployment rate is reported in Jalal-Abad region - 24,000 or 6.3%; in Batken region - 10,800 people or 5.5%; in Osh region - 20,400 people or 3.4%.
The low unemployment rate is observed in Bishkek - 5,500 or 1.1%; Chui region - 4,500 or 1.2%.
