Uzbekistan to launch electric car assembly plant

AKIPRESS.COM - The construction of an electric car assembly plant has started in Kokand city of Ferghana region, local media report. The cost of these cars will start at $ 3,000.
The enterprise will receive about $30 million as investments in total, $24 million of which will be allocated by Chinese partners.
The serial assembly of electric cars will begin in 2021. They will be sold on local market and abroad.
Assembly will include not full-fledged cars, but rather heavy motorized carriages with car controls, media reports said.
