AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan saw spike in coronavirus cases from July 5 to 26 followed by steady decline in cases, Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karataev told a press briefing today.
The Deputy Health Minister reminded the coronavirus and pneumonia cases were combined since July 17.
"4,239 cases were registered from July 13 to 19. 1,135 cases were registered in the last week from August 17 to 23. Since June 15 to 21, 1,119 cases were registered. We have passed the peak and now we see decline in cases," Karataev said.
8,718 PCR tests for coronavirus were made for the last week. 4.8% of test were positive.
"From June 15 to 21, the share of positive coronavirus test results made 4.7%. Last week it made 4.9%. The share of positive test results reached peak and is decreasing now. According to international surveys, in case decline is less than 5%, this is a good sign," the Deputy Health Minister said.
