Central Election Commission returns documents to Kyrgyzstan party, it leaves parliamentary race

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission has made the decision to return documents to Kyrgyzstan party.
This means the party will leave the parliamentary race.
Political parties running in the parliamentary elections were required to submit documents for registration of their candidates to the Central Election Commission before 6.00 p.m. of August 24.
Such decision was made on the basis of the recommendation of the CEC working group, whose leader Abdyjapar Bekmatov said the documents should be submitted by the party's authorized representative.
It was found out the documents and list of candidates were submitted by the proxy person to the Central Election Commission, which was found to be violation of the constitutional law.
Kyrgyzstan's party authorized representrative Elvira Abildieva said she could not submit documents herself for health reasons.
8 members of the Central Election Commission voted for return of the documents to Kyrgyzstan party, one voted against.
