Russian Health Ministry registers another coronavirus vaccine

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health of Russia registered lyophilisate of coronavirus vaccine. This is powder for solution for injections.
The vaccine was developed by the Gamaleya Epidemiology and Microbiology Research Center.
The trial of the vaccine was held at the Sechenov Medical University. The clinical trials found the vaccine was safe and effective, the Ministry of Health said.
On August 25, the Ministry of Health permitted the Gamaleya Epidemiology and Microbiology Research Center to hold post-registration clinical trial of coronavirus vaccine. It will arrive at Moscow clinics on September 3. The post-registration trials will be begin on September 4-5.
Last week the Gamaleya Center Director Alexander Ginzburg compared the third post-registration stage of trials of Russian coronavirus vaccine with massive vaccination, since dozens of thousands of people will participate in trials.
Russia registered the world's first coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V on August 11.
