Supreme Court Chair and newly appointed judges discuss ways to regain public trust to courts

AKIPRESS.COM - It is necessary to resume and strengthen mentorship of judges. This is one of the forms to enhance professionalism and moral and ethical qualities of newly appointed judges, Supreme Court Chairperson Gulbara Kalieva said at the meeting with judges of Pervomaiskiy district court of Bishkek.
14 judges from the regions were transferred to the Pervomaiskiy district court earlier in accordance with the decision of the Judicial Council.
Gulbara Kalieva urged newly arrived judges to work openly and transparently.
She suggested the judges to deliver lectures on law issues and court system in universities and colleges, attend training to improve their professional skills.
The ways to regain public trust to courts were considered at the meeting.
The Supreme Court Chair was familiarized with the infrastructure of the court and procedures for online hearings.
