Central Election Commission to appeal against court ruling on Kyrgyzstan party

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission has obtained the ruling of the administrative court of Bishkek on Kyrgyzstan party.
The cassation appeal to the Supremee Court is prepared now against the ruling of the administrative court, Central Election Commission Chairperson Nurjan Shaildabekova said.
The cassation appeal will be submitted as soon as it is ready, she added.
On August 25, the Central Election Commission made the decision to return documents for registration of candidates to run in parliamentary elections to Kyrgyzstan party since these documents were submitted by improper person, not authorized representative of the party as required by the effective legislation. This meant the party would have left the parliamentary race.
Kyrgyzstan party then filed claim against this decision of the Central Election Commission. On August 27, the administrative court of Bishkek sustained the claim of Kyrgyzstan party and invalidated the decision of the Central Election Commission to return its documents and this way to bar from parliamentary elections.
