AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission has submitted cassation appeal against the ruling of the administrative court of Bishkek to the Supreme Court.
The Central Election Commission earlier returned the documents for registration of candidates to run in parliamentary elections to Kyrgyzstan party, which meant the party would leave the parliamentary race.
The Central Election Commission said its decision was lawful and grounded.
"The Central Election Commission disagreed with the ruling of the administrative court that invalidated the decision of the Central Election Commission to return documents to Kyrgyzstan party. The cassation appeal was submitted to the Supreme Court," the Central Election Commission said.
CEC barred Kyrgyzstan party from election race since the documents were submitted by improper person instead of the authorized representative of the party as required by the legislation. Kyrgyzstan party appealed against the decision of the Central Election Commission. The administrative court of Bishkek sustained the claim of Kyrgyzstan party.
