Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan set to boost bilateral trade to $1 billion

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erkin Asrandiyev held virtual talks on September 3.
The Deputy Prime Ministers considered prospects of expansion of investment, commercial, transport and logistics cooperation and targets of mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Ministers agreed to develp the roadmap for expansion of industrial cooperation.
The sides noted almost 5-fold increase in bilateral trade for the past 3 years. In 2019, the bilateral trade amounted to $818.4 million. The sides agreed to undertake actions to boost bilateral trade to $1 billion in the nearest time.
The issues related to the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation were discussed among other aspects.
