Son of Antimonopoly Agency Chief detained on suspicion of theft of cars from impound lot

AKIPRESS.COM - The son of Antimonopoly Agency Chairman Shukhrat Sabirov, Abror Sabirov, was detained on suspicion of armed assault and theft of smuggled cars from the impound lot, a source in law enforcement agencies told AKIpress. According to preliminary information, Abror Sabirov was detained on September 9 and taken to the temporary detention facility.
The police received a report in the morning of September 8 that the impound lot in Luxembourg village, Issyk-Ata district, was assaulted. Unidentified perpetrators tied a 74-year-old security guard and stole Toyota Alphard and Honda Elysion cars.
These cars were impounded as part of the criminal probe into evasion from customs fees. The minivans were smuggled into Kyrgyzstan.
