AKIPRESS.COM - The next meeting of the Uzbek-Tajik intergovernmental commission for commercial, economic, socio-cultural cooperation is scheduled for September 28-29 in Dushanbe, Asia-Plus reported with reference to a source in the government of Tajikistan.
The Prime Ministers of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are co-chairs of the intergovernmental commission.
The countries will discuss opening of the borders, which remain closed since March due to coronavirus outbreak, and resumption of flights.
The issues related to expansion of bilateral trade, promising investment projects, expansion of ties in transport and communications will be considered.
The countries hope to reach agreement on volume of electricity exported by Tajikistan to Uzbekistan and natural gas supplies imported by Tajikistan from Uzbekistan and their prices.
