AKIPRESS.COM - Former EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti will serve as adviser to President of Uzbekistan Svavkat Mirziyoyev for economic development, effective governance and international cooperation, he said on Twitter.
Full of joy as I have just heard that President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan is appointing me as his Adviser on economic development, effective governance and international cooperation. Looking forward to helping him implement his reform agenda.
- Suma Chakrabarti (@SumaChakrabarti) September 14, 2020 Suma Chakrabarti said he was also appointed as advisor to President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev for economic development and effective governance.
Suma Charkabarti held the post of EBRD President from July 2012 to July 2020.
In July 2020, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded Suma Chakrabarti with Dustlik (Friendship) order for his contribution into establishment of strategic partnership and expansion of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and EBRD.
