AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan will reopen all its borders since October 1 in accordance with the decision made by the national commission for coronavirus containment. All entering vehicles should comple with requirements.
The government will hold talks with foreign countries on increase of all international flights, train and bus service.
Those entering Uzbekistan through the border crossing points on the borders with Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan will have to observe 14-day self-isolation at home if they do not present a medical certificate with negative PCR test results. In case such certificate is absent, those entering Uzbekistan will pay for PCR tests for coronavirus infection at the border crossing point.
Those arriving in Uzbekistan from China, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Georgia, Hungary, Finland, Latvia, Austria, Japan will not face any restrictions when entering the country.
Those arriving from the yellow zone of countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, UAE and EU countries (except for UK and Spain) and those from red zone countries (the rest countries) will be allowed to enter Uzbekistan only with negative PCR test results for coronavirus infection made for the past 72 hours.
Absence of such medical certificate with negative PCR test results for coronavirus will lead to denial of registration for the flight to Uzbekistan.
Upon arrival those arriving from yellow and red zone countries will be quarantine at home or at a hotel for 14 days.
Uzbekistan closed its borders on March 16.
The World Health Organization declared coronavirus outbreak pandemic on March 11.
