Second team of Russian doctors off to Uzbekistan to aid COVID-19 fight

AKIPRESS.COM - A team of 35 Russian doctors departed for Uzbekistan to provide consultations, practical support to local medical workers in treatment of COVID-19 patients, the Health Department of Moscow reported. The multidisciplinary team includes infectious disease specialists, intensivists, laboratory diagnostics doctor, radiologists, epidemiologists, pulmonologists, nurses from 15 leading hospitals of Moscow, said the report.
The Russian medical professionals will visit hosptials for COVID-19 patients, will examine patients in the red zone, will deliver seminars for local doctors.
The first team of Russian doctors spent one month in the regions of Uzbekistan earlier, where they aided local COVID-19 frontliners in treatment of coronavirus patients.
