Health Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Russia discuss establishment of joint epidemiology research center

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministries of Health of Kyrgyzstan and Russia and the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) discussed the establishment of a joint Kyrgyz-Russian scientific research center for epidemiology, Deputy Prime Minister Erkin Asrandiev said. Relations in the field of health care are developing in close cooperation, especially amid current circumstances, he said at the 22nd meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian intergovernmental commission.
Education cooperation was also discussed at the meeting. Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk said 15 thousand Kyrgyz students are studying in Russian universities. 6.5 thousand of them are holders of scholarships and are supported by the Russian side.
