AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan temporarily banned import of live birds and poultry products from some districts of North-Kazakhstan region from September 18, the State Environmental and Technical Safety Inspectorate said.
Temporary restrictions were imposed on the import of live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat and all kinds of poultry products, feed and additives for birds, as well as used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds from districts of North-Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan temporarily banned import of birds and poultry products from Tyumen, Omsk, Chelyabinsk and Kurgan regions of Russia.
As of September 21, almost 54,000 flu bird cases were registered in 5 regions of Kazakhstan. Vaccines are delivered to those regions and the territory is disinfected, Deputy Health Minister Gulmira Isaeva said earlier.
