Anti-drug trafficking police officer caught while trying to sell drugs worth half a million soms

AKIPRESS.COM - A senior officer of the anti-drug trafficking service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Chui region was detained during an attempt to sell drugs. Police colonel was detained red-handed on September 23 by employees of anti-corruption service of the State Committee for National Security in the course of operative-search operations conducted together with internal investigations service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The detainee tried to sell hashish in 166 briquettes. The total weight of the drugs was over 1.5 kg. The drugs were estimated at 581,000 soms.
Probe into illegal production of narcotics for sale was launched.
The detainee was taken to the GKNB temporary detention facility.
