Another COVID-19 outbreak starts in Kyrgyzstan - Health Ministry on spike in new cases

AKIPRESS.COM - Despite the authorities and the Ministry of Health every day remind about importance of COVID-19 precautionary measures, people ignore them. In such situation recurrence of July peak of coronavirus cases is possible, Health Ministry's senior specialist Gulasyl Sutueva said.
"We have warned several times the second wave may come. This is not the second wave, but another outbreak. It has started already. The number of infected people and visits to medical facilities are growing," she said.
"We every day say about importance of wearing masks, maintaining social distance, avoidance of crowded places. But we see mass gatherings of people. Probably this is explained with political campaigning. But even without that people hold mass celebrations and other events," she said.
This is inadmissible, since this is a big risk, she added.
"Almost nobody wears masks and people infect each other even when they know this is a dangerous disease. Deliberate transmission of infection is crime. Each person should feel responsibility for close ones, neighbors and other people. Each citizen should understand that infection may come from anyone. We have not good situation now," Sutueva said.
