EU provides 2 million Euros for personal protective gear for medical workers

AKIPRESS.COM - The European Union allocated more than 2 million Euros for effective, prompt and coordinated COVID-19 response in Uzbekistan.
The project will be administered by the World Health Organization country office and will focus on provision of medical workers with personal protective gear.
All personal protective equipment is used in detection, sorting, testing, isolation and treatment of COVID-19 cases. Other medical workers remain unprotected, including medical personnel in maternity hospitals, TB hospitals, dental clinics, outpatient departments.
This project is part of 36 million Euros program Team Europe aimed at COVID-19 fight in Uzbekistan.
The project will last 2 years.
