Bishkek doctors to examine COVID-19 situation in Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions

AKIPRESS.COM - A group of doctors from Bishkek will examine the epidemiological situation in Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions. Such task was given by Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov at the meeting of the nation-wide operative team for coronavirus containment today.
"The number of daily COVID-19 cases is growing. We are especially concerned about the situation in Batken region. The group led by Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karataev today will head to the above regions. Since the situation is relatively stable in Bishkek, forces of the specialists should be targeted on the regions where the situation arouses concerns. All efforts should be made to normalize the situation in Batken region and prevent increase of new cases. The situation should be analyzed to find the reasons behind resurgence in COVID-19 cases. Household visits remain one of the preventive measures to identify people infected with COVID-19. Besides, Bishkek doctors consult their colleagues in Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister reminded about responsibnility of the region governors for epidemiological situation within their jurisdictions.
