Jeenbekov expresses condolences over death of Kuwait Emir

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov sent a telegram of condolences to the new Emir of Kuwait over the death of his elder brother Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of State of Kuwait.
"Your Highness, on behalf of the Kyrgyz people and in my own name, I express my deep condolences to the family of Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah and the people of Kuwait. This is the loss of not only the relatives of Al-Sabah or the people of Kuwait, but the entire world," the statement read.
Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah died in the United States at the age of 91. Kuwait has sworn in its new emir, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah, after his death.
Sheikh Sabah earned a reputation as a remarkable leader who helped steer his country through the 1990 Iraqi invasion, crashes in global oil markets and upheavals in parliament and on the streets.
