President Jeenbekov addresses Kyrgyzstanis in run up to parliamentary elections

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov today addressed Kyrgyzstanis ahead of the 4 October parliamentary elections.
"The time has come when vote of each voter will be of a crucial imporance. The quality composition of the prospective Parliament will directly impact development of our country in the next 5 years. Each voter should exercise the right to vote," the President said.
"We try to ensure fair elections not only in the moment of voting and tabulation of results, but at all stages of election process. We have introduced new norms into the legislation to prevent violations of the law, to punish for illegal actions and to bar misuse of government resources," the President stated.
The President urged political parties to respect election legislation and warned them against vote buying.
"I am convinced the losing parties will not provoke split in the society in pursuit of their personal ambitions and will not undermine peace and stability in the country," he added.
"The resolute measures will be taken in line with the law with regard to those whose actions will pose threat to unity of people, interethnic accord, integrity of the state and rule of law," the President stressed.
"Vote of each citizen will determine the future of the country, will shape political, economic, socio-cultural direction in development of the state. Programs and goals of each party running in the elections are clear. This is why each of voters should make their political choice on October 4!" the President said.
