Kyrgyzstan to step up sanitary control on its borders

AKIPRESS.COM - Sanitary control will be tightened on the border crossing points of Kyrgyzstan due to unstable COVID-19 situation in the neighboring countries, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev told a briefing today.
Alert level for sanitary checkpoints on the border crossing points has been raised, he added.
"11,476 people crossed the borders for a day. All those crossing the borders are tested with thermal scanners," Usenbayev said.
349 people were tested for coronavirus at Dostuk border crossing point on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. 9 people had positive results of rapid tests for coronavirus. Their samples were taken for PCR tests.
