AKIPRESS.COM - These elections are held amid coronavirus pandemic. The Central Election Commission and Ministry of Health have developed protocols for the elections. The elections are held in line with these protocols, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev said.
5,728 medical workers are present at polling stations across Kyrgyzstan. They control the process and aid polling station commission members. They will provide medical care in case a voter is sick, he said.
Sanitizers, face masks are available at polling stations. A voter may take a face mask or gloves in case he or she does not have them.
"If a voter has signs of disease, elevated temperature for instance, such voter may vote after 6.00 p.m. All actions are taken to prevent transmission of coronavirus," Usenbayev said and asked citizens to treat the rules with understanding.
