Bishkek mayor Aziz Surakmatov resigns

AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek mayor Aziz Surakmatov has tendered resignation, the mayor's press office reported.
A group of young people blocked entry to the mayor office this morning and did not allow anyone to enter.
Director of Vehicles and Drivers Registration Enterprise Jooshbek Koenaliev proclaimed himself a mayor then.
"I do not cling to the post," Aziz Surakmatov told AKIpress.
Surakmatov was appointed as mayor of Bishkek in August 2018.
