Situation in Osh: Protesters took to streets in support of Osh mayor

AKIPRESS.COM - On October 7, people took to the central square of Osh city again.
This time the crowd showed up to support Osh mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov.
The gathered people intend to make Sarybashov a legitimate mayor.
The members of the Osh city council voted for resignation of Taalaibek Sarybashov as the mayor on Oct 6 at extraordinary session. Sarybashov was not present at this session.
There are official documents on dismissal of Sarybashov.
Meanwhile, the first vice mayor of Osh Saibjan Turduyev is an acting mayor, the mayor's office said on October 7. City institutions and organizations function in the normal mode. Measures are carried out to prevent coronavirus spread, the statement said.
