AKIPRESS.COM - "Those who will come tonight to rob people will face crackdown," Bishkek vice mayor Aziz Alymkulov promised.
The meeting was held in the mayor's office today with representatives of district administrations, police and citizen patrol volunteers to discuss the ways to protect public order and safety in case of looting the coming night. Responsibilities were divided between all sides.
Police and citizen patrol volunteers will be involved into protection of the city.
"If someone comes with the plan to rob, to loot tonight, we will give a tough rebuff. Those who have bad thoughts for tonight will be sorry about that later. We won't surrender our city," vice mayor Alymkulov said.
The acting mayor ordered the patrol police to stop cars without license plates in the city and impound them.
