AKIPRESS.COM - Health Minister Sabirjan Abdikarimov raised alarm during the press conference in Bishkek on October 8 over the current situation with the growth in coronavirus infections.
"What we see now is a total failure to follow basic sanitary rules to prevent disease," he said.
Failure to wear masks, keeping safe physical distance and breaking other rules are already showing results, he said.
"The two-week growth in cases made 154% speaking for the acceleration of infection. We had surge in new cases yesterday and today. We can expect another collapse in health care system if basic rules are further ignored," he added.
245 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded across Kyrgyzstan as of the morning of October 8. The total number of confirmed cases has reached 48 341.
