Acting Interior Minister Kursan Asanov's wanted son returned to country

AKIPRESS.COM - Acting Interior Minister Kursan Asanov's wanted son, Muhammed-Ali, returned to Kyrgyzstan, Asanov said on Oct 8. In August 2019, authorities accused Asanov of organizing illegal transfer of material evidence, documents and other items of significant importance in the probe taken out of former President Almazbek Atambayev's house through his bodyguard Paizylda uulu Damirbek on August 8, 2019.
Paizylda uulu Damirbek, according to authorities, handed over those items to Asanov's son, Muhammed-Ali Asanov, near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 8 for further transfer to the supporters of Atambayev, the General Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.
On August 27, 2019 Muhammed-Ali Asanov, born in 1997, was announced wanted for complicity in the crime.
