AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister Sadyr Japarov started talks on resignation of President Sooronbai Jeenbekov following the press conference he gave after the Parliament approved him as Prime Minister yesterday.
The talks lasted more than 3 hours.
President's press secretary Tolgonai Stamalieva voiced position of the President after conclusion of the talks.
"Sooronbai Jeenbekov underlined one more time he has no right to leave the President's post now, since this will lead to unpredictable scenario of development of situation to the detriment of the state," she said.
"He said he keeps the same position he voiced on October 9: he will resign after he brings the country back to legal framework - after parliamentary elections and announcement of the elections of a new president of the country," the press secretary added.
Prime Minister Sadyr Japarov met with his supporters rallying outside the Government House after the talks in the evening of October 14.
He told them the talks will continue today at 11.00 a.m. and probably will be finished in 1-2 hours.
"He will leave... The last moments in the talks remained... There are people who are mediators... Thank you to all of you for coming here... I ask you to disperse until 11.00 a.m. I will not be cheated," Japarov told his supporters.
