Aksy forestry enterprise receives drip irrigation equipment for almost 870,000 soms

AKIPRESS.COM - The State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry handed over drip irrigation equipment valued at 869,467 soms to Aksy forestry enterprise.
The drip irrigation system will be installed in Renjit forestry on 2 ha area, where 350 apricot trees, 150 cherry trees and 35 almond trees were planted before. Use of drip irrigation system will prevent soil erosion, increase survivability and yield of trees.
Specialists of pilot Aksy, Kara-Kulja, Karakol forestry enterprises, 6 pilot rural municipalities will be trained on installation and use of drip irrigation systems.
Similar equipment was earlier provided to Kara-Kulja and Karakol forestry enterprises as part of Integrated Forest Ecosystem Management Project funded by the World Bank.
