Raim Matraimov summoned to National Security Committee: Sources

AKIPRESS.COM - Former Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service Raimbek Matraimov was summoned to the National Security Committee for interrogation as a witness of customs corruption case, sources told AKIpress on October 20.
Previously on October 19, the National Security Committee said the investigation into corruption in customs administration involving former Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service Raimbek Matraimov and other customs officials is under way.
About 40 close associates of Matraimov were identified and located, the statement said. Their involvement in the corruption scheme is being established.
Raim Matraimov is former Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service nicknamed Raim-Million for his alleged wealth he gained due to corruption schemes in the customs administration. He was sacked in November 2017 over the loss of government's trust.
