Parliament of Kyrgyzstan approves reduction of election threshold to 3%

AKIPRESS.COM - The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan today passed the bill on reduction of election threshold for political parties to win seats in Parliament from 7% to 3% in three readings.
The bill also reduces the electoral deposit from 5 million soms to 1 million soms, abolishes the form N2, which allowed citizens to vote outside home regions and was massively abused during the past parliamentary elections.
84 MPs present in the session room unanimously voted for the amendments.
