AKIPRESS.COM - The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) planned for 2024 was postponed until 2025 due to coronavirus pandemic, Minister of Education and Science Almazbek Beishenaliev said.
Kyrgyzstan will participate in this study and needs to prepare for it, the Minister said.
Kyrgyzstan was on the last 65th position in PISA studies in 2006 and 2009.
The Programme for International Student Assessment is a worldwide study intended to evaluate educational systems by measuring 15-year-old school pupils' scholastic performance on mathematics, science, and reading. It was first performed in 2000 and then repeated every three years. Its aim is to provide comparable data with a view to enabling countries to improve their education policies and outcomes. It measures problem solving and cognition.
