Death toll from road accidents increasing in Osh region, police say

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of road accidents in Osh region has decreased in 9 months of 2020, but the death toll has increased, the traffic police of the Osh region said.
The meeting with the deputy chief of traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nur Satybaldiev took place on October 23 and discussed the results of work for 9 months, as well as measures to prevent road accidents.
The number of traffic accidents and related injuries, compared to the same period last year, decreased. At the same time, the number of deaths increased by 11. In Kara-Suu district, the number of deaths in road accidents increased by 7 cases as compared to last year from 27 deaths to 34.
The number of deaths in road accidents also grew in Uzgen district from 12 to 28.
In Alai, Chon-Alai, Aravan, Nookat and Kara-Kuldjin districts the number of accidents and deaths decreased.
