Observance of annual World Savings Day starts in Kyrgyzstan on October 26

AKIPRESS.COM - The observance of annual World Savings Day starts in Kyrgyzstan on October 26 for the sixth time, said the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan. The main task of the World Savings Day is to develop a culture of savings among the population as they give an opportunity to plan the future: to educate children, to buy a house, a car, to travel, etc.
Population in Kyrgyzstan started trusting banks more realizing that their savings are better kept in a bank.
Deposit base of the banking sector increased from 118.2 billion soms in Sept 2017 to 127.5 billion soms in 2018. In August 2020 the deposit base made over 165 billion soms.
The growth of the deposit base is explained by the stability of the banking system, as well as a number of advantages the deposits offer.
The World Savings Day will be held online this year on October 31.
