Naryn blogger gets dog's head in a box as a parcel

AKIPRESS.COM - Journalist, blogger from At-Bashi, Naryn region received a box with a dog's head sent by the unknown from Bishkek, police said. "Someone sent me a head of the animal with its tongue out. As a blogger I write on social media about corruption and problems that I see with my own eyes and hear with my own ears. This case won't make me scared and stop me from writing. I think it is wrong to do so to a woman," she wrote.
She called it an attempt to influence not only her, but all bloggers and the freedom of speech.
"I reported it to the police. I request the authorities, the National Security Committee head to find those behind it and take necessary measures, make sure I am safe and sound," she wrote.
"I have no enemies. I only write about a lot of things openly and some may not like it," she added.
The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Naryn region said the report was received on October 27, and on October 28 all the materials were sent to Bishkek where the parcel came from.
The blogger said she received an anonymous call at about 10 pm on October 27 saying that a parcel was sent to her from Bishkek. After opening the box, she found a dog's head inside. She called police immediately.
