Former Health Minister of Kazakhstan detained for large-scale embezzlement

AKIPRESS.COM - Former Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov was detained for large-scale embezzlement of budget funds, said Committee on Financial Monitoring of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
Criminal probe was launched against former Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov, the statement said,
Birtanov was dismissed as the Health Minister on June 25, 2020.
He was replaced by Alexey Choi.
