State Penitentiary Service, ICRC discuss cooperation in COVID-19 response

AKIPRESS.COM - State Penitentiary Service Chairman Askat Egemberdiev met with Head of ICRC Mission in Kyrgyzstan Carlos Battalas to discuss prospects of further cooperation, COVID-19 response in pentitentiary system.
The algorithm of actions for COVID-19 response was developed in cooperation with ICRC, online trainings were held for medical and other workers on COVID-19 fight.
ICRC earlier handed over personal protective equipment for penitentiary institutions, convoying department to prevent coronavirus outbreak among prisoners, including 50,600 face masks, 40,000 gloves, 7,600 coats, 5,000 respirators, disinfectants, 4 tents, 24 pulse oximeters, 3 oxygen concentrators, 32 thermometers, 7 disinfection mats, antiseptics.
The International Committee of the Red Cross expressed readiness to continue cooperation with the State Penitentiary Service.
