AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek vice mayor Aziz Alymkulov met with representatives of private passenger transportation companies to discuss issues related to functioning of public transport amid coronavirus pandemic and main principles of distribution of public transport routes in the capital. The epidemiological situation remains tense in the city, COVID-19 protocols are not met in public transport, particularly public mini-buses, the vice mayor said.
Stop of work of public transport is not considered now, the vice mayor stressed.
Vice mayor Alymkulov demanded from public transport companies to improve respect of sanitary rules when drivers, passengers should wear masks in public transport.
Heads of public transport companies suggested to vaccinate drivers against flu.
The vice mayor in return asked to pay attention to condition of public mini-buses. The old minibuses pollute air in the city. The companies were offered to consider upgrade of fleet of their mini-buses.
