Kyrgyzstan has stable COVID-19 situation now - Deputy Health Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - "It is hard to make long-term forecasts for COVID-19 situation," Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev said at the session of the Parliament today when asked whether Kyrgyzstan reached peak of COVID-19 cases.
Infection reproduction number is used to calculate to how many people infected person may transmit virus, the Deputy Health Minister said.
"Last week we reached reproduction number 1. This means we have stabilization of COVID-19 situation. The next 2 weeks we will have the same situation. Spike in infection is expected from November to January in connection with rise in respiratory infections," the Deputy Health Minister said.
