AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today will attend the virtual meeting of the leaders of the Shanghhai Cooperation Organization member states.
The agenda of the meeting includes issues of further deepening of multifaceted cooperation between SCO countries in context of exacerbation of new global challenges and threats.
"The heads of delegations of the participating countries and observers will analyze the current level and prospects of multifaceted cooperation in priority areas, will exchange views on relevant international and regional issues," the president's press serice reported.
UN Secretary General is expected to address the participants of the SCO summit.
The heads of SCO states are expected to adopt the Moscow declaration and a package of documents boosting cooperation in a range of sphers, including economic cooperation, introduction of digital technologies, development of rural areas, effective epidemic response and other documents.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded by China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan. In 2017, India and Pakistan joined the Organization.
