Health Ministry to merge family medicine centers and hospitals in districts with population under 100,000 people

AKIPRESS.COM - The family medicine centers and local hospitals will be merged in the districts of Kyrgyzstan with population under 100,000 people, Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told AKIpress.
The Health Minister said he visited all regions of the country.
"Nobody will be reduced. Regions suffer from shortage of doctors," the Health Minister said.
Legal and financial aspects of this merger are studied now, the Minister added.
"All are informed and nobody opposes the move. Some 29 million soms will be saved after merger. Preliminarily, 24 territorial hospitals and family medicine centers will be merged," the Minister said.
