AKIPRESS.COM - Turkey will send humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan in form of medicines, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said during the meeting with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev.
Foreign Minister Cavusoglu said Turkey provided assistance to Kyrgyzstan for COVID-19 response earlier.
"Unfortunately, Covid-19 pandemic is ongoing and we do not know when it ends. We said we are ready to provide more assistance if necessary. At today's meeting we discussed what assistance is needed and a list of needed items was made. In cooperation between TIKA and the Ministry of Health and Foreign Ministry, we will send additional medicines to Kyrgyzstan as soon as possible," the Turkish Foreign Minister said.
Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev said the government of Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed readiness to provide assistance to Kyrgyzstan for COVID-19 response.
