Kyrgyzstan seeks to increase quotas for its students to study abroad

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has agreements with several countries on quotas for students to study abroad, Minister of Education and Science Almazbek Beishenaliev told AKIpress.
Quotas are provided by the following countries:
1. Belarus - up to 10 quotas a year
2. Hungary - up to 150 quotas
3. Kazakhstan - up to 5 quotas
4. China - up to 70 quotas (including enrolled students)
5. Latvia - no more than 10% per country of total pool of quotas
6. Russia - 370-400 quotas a year
7. Tajikistan - up to 50 quotas a year
8. Turkey - 80-100 quotas a year.
The Ministry of Education is working on respective intergovernmental agreements to increase quotas for students from Kyrgyzstan with the following countries: Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, Malaysia, Japan, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Norway, France, Estonia, Spain, Italy, UAE, Saudi Arabia.
