Acting President Mamytov signs order on establishment of constitutional convention

AKIPRESS.COM - Acting President and Speaker Talant Mamytov has signed the order establishing constitutional convention, the president's press service reported.
The constitutional convention will hold discussions of concept of improvement of foundations of constitutional order, human and civil rights and freedoms, government system, optimization and division of duties between branches of power, other related issues. The suggestions on the draft of the law on Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic will be then submitted to the Parliament.
The progress of work of the constitutional convention will be covered by media.
The constitutional convention will seat in the National Academy of Sciences. The Ministry of Justice will serve as secretariat of the constitutional convention.
The Ministry of Justice and President's and Government's General Affairs Management will handle all organizational issues.
The parliament's and president's press services will ensure broad media coverage of work of the constitutional convention.
Vice Speaker Mirlan Bakirov and Chief of Staff of President's Administration will oversee implementation of the given order, which enters into force since the day of its official publication.
