Agriculture Minister explains ban on export of cattle

AKIPRESS.COM - One of the main reasons for banning export of cattle is a sharp decline in the breeding stock, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Tilek Toktogaziev.
Otherwise, the country will face meat shortage both this year and next years, he said.
"Preservation of the breeding stock is a strategically important task for the development of the livestock industry," he said.
Government wants to increase meat and milk production through improvement of breeding by artificial insemination.
