Ex-Health Minister Cholponbaev in stable condition after heart surgery

AKIPRESS.COM - Ex-Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbayev will be discharged from hospital on November 25, Director of National Cardiology and Internal Medicine center Akpai Sarybaev said.
His condition is stable, he said.
Kosmosbek Cholponbaev was taken to the hospital with heart attack from the remand prison. He underwent heart surgery and stent placement.
Former Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kosmosbek Cholponbaev was detained on September 17 on power abuse charges. He is accused of abusing his power by signing a contract for consulting services not meeting the interests of the state, thus causing damage to the state budget of about 65 million soms.
